        We will miss you Mustafa...

Sire: Ch. Allyndanes Lionheart

Dam: Ch. Allyndanes Indian Summer

In June, 1997, the improbable happened. Rob actually managed to handle Mustafa to his Championship! The long finish time was not due to Mustafa in any way, but rather due to Rob being about as green as you can be in the ring. Mustafa finished with his best placing yet... a Best of Opposite Sex. Since then, we have yes.GIF (67528 bytes)been showing Mustafa in the specials ring, and he has done well indeed.  As of yet, the Best of Breed has been an elusive beast, but he has had several BOS placings, and  is handling himself better than ever!

Kirsten and I were married in September, 1994, and as part of the "deal" Kirsten said she would take my last name if we got a dog. I said 'okay', and then she decided to tell me she wanted a Great Dane. We got in contact with Lisa Dias of Allyndane Great Danes, and our wait began. After a couple of false starts, we found out that Indy was pregnant and our wait was almost over.

Mustafa came home, and was an instant hit with everyone...well, not with the cats, but with everyone else. He was a little tiny 25 pound puppy with BIG floppy ears. The floppy ears didn't last long, and neither did the little tiny puppy! Right from the start, it seemed we'd turn our back on him for about 2 minutes, and he would grow another inch or two!

His likes are "anything he can chew", and his dislike is getting swatted in the nose by Smudge (one of the cats)...actually, I think he likes that, 'cause he keeps going back for more. :)
